The first step to submitting a sample is to contact us at
We will work with you on planning your experiment and determining the cost.
Next, we will send you a contract, preferably by email, that describes the project.
All sequencing projects are carried out under contract. This means that there is a clear
description of the process we will use to get you the sequence data.
Once you are happy with the project description in the contract, print two copies and
have both signed. Contracts must be signed by a person authorised by your organization.
Send both signed copies to us along with your DNA sample. The University of Otago will
then sign both contracts and will return one original copy to you for your records.
Your DNA will then be sequenced and you will be contacted with details of your AOGS
server account so you can collect your data.
